October 2024: SALLY

For his MFA Thesis at Columbia University, Calvin is collaborating with playwright Meg Ledford, dramaturg Mo Holmes, and composer and music director Calvin Hitchcock to reimagine and modernize Jerome Kern’s 1921 classic, SALLY.

Performs at the Lenfest Center for the Arts, October 3-6, 2024

Winter 2024-2025: [Shakespeare Project TBD]

In collaboration with the Columbia University MFA Acting program, Calvin will be directing a reimagined production of The Taming of the Shrew, returning to the bard for the first time since his Zoom Julius Caesar in 2020.

April 2025: Carousel

Calvin will serve as the Associate Director to Anne Bogart on an 80th Anniversary production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s iconic Carousel at Boston Lyric Opera, returning to his hometown roots!

April 4th - 13th at the Emerson Colonial Theatre, Boston, MA.

May 2025: We the People of these Fifty Acre Woods

Just before completing his MFA at Columbia, Calvin will close out the Lenfest Center for the Arts season directing a new work by playwright andrew michael reid: a heartbreaking, dreamlike, and dystopian take on the lore of the Hundred Acre Woods.
